Hey there, welcome to my website; my name is Bola Martins and this is my journey!

I started taking pictures when I was in Sixth Form college, I knew it was an interest of mine as soon as I decided to stop designing and creating clothes. Although I had a passion for fashion (so cliche!) which I still do, I just knew the digital world was calling me.
I decided to take photography seriously to improve my portfolio so I could attend my desired university (London College of Fashion). So over the Christmas break of 2015 I ventured out and spoke to rough sleepers in London about the struggles of homelessness. I wanted to understand the trivial ways in which some fashion labels create “Homeless and hobo fashion” as a form of capital consumption; Instead of dealing and supporting the crisis. I created a mini photo shoot about it, styled it, directed it, and loved it!
Fast forward to three years later I have finished my degree in Creative Direction for Fashion at LCF, which has taught me about different ways fashion labels market their brands through photography, creative direction, graphic design, moving image and so much more. I have had the amazing opportunity to learn how to use all kinds of Adobe software from Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and InDesign! As well as Apple software such as Final Cut Pro and Keynote.
I have had the amazing opportunity to work with all kinds of people to produce a variety of work through experimentation and fun, take a look at my work and enjoy.
